We recently released the new version 1.2.5 of our performance plugin IndexReloaded for WordPress.
Our own website and web hosting also received an important update.
IndexReloaded 1.2.5
The new version includes improvements in compatibility with 2 other WordPress plugins and in the plugin’s stability.
The latter is largely determined by the situations in which IndexReloaded is loaded in WordPress. Particularly problematic was the loading of IndexReloaded in the WordPress backend via parameterized URL calls that originate from the website’s root directory.
For the FooGallery and Ultimate Responsive Image Slider plugins, CSS/JS elements to be excluded were found and are now accordingly taken into account in the IndexReloaded setup.
The Server Update
Our previous server showed increasing signs of aging. This primarily affected SSL protocols and encrypted connections, where the demands of clients and the capabilities of the old server increasingly diverged.
Since CentOS7 is considered “critically outdated”, we decided to retire the old server and replace it with a new solution.
The new server is significantly more powerful than the old server and operates with OS Ubuntu 22.
The migration of the websites to the new server was almost flawless, resulting in virtually no downtime.
